Norðurál recently extended its partnership agreements with Valur and ÍA, which reflects Norðurál's focus on community projects, both large and small.

Norðurál and Faxaflóahafnir have renewed their collaboration agreement concerning Norðurál’s operations at the port area in Grundartangi. This partnership has thrived since Norðurál was established in 1998.

Norðurál received the Equality Award, Jafnvægisvog 2024, along with 130 other companies, institutions, and municipalities. This is the fourth year that Norðurál has received this recognition.
