The aluminum industry in Iceland is doing well these days and has a competitive advantage. Work has now started on building the new ISK 16 billion production line for aluminum billets, a more value-added product that can be applied directly to its clients’ production of vehicles, buildings, technical products etc. This new production line is expected to be launched in early 2024. By then the value of Nordural’s export revenue will increase by ISK 3-4 billion annually without increasing the output, she says.
