Every year, Norðurál sponsors dozens of large and small community projects. We have ÍA and Skallagrímur, the old lighthouse of Suðurflös, the kids in Grundaskóli and the Brekkubæjarskóli in Akranes, waterbeds, boxing, horse riding, photography, environmental projects, art creation and care for the elderly. Special emphasis is placed on supporting projects in our neighboring areas in Grundartangi – Akranes, Hvalfjordur and Borgarnes.

In order to request a community grant from Norðuráli, it is best to send an application to the address styrkur@nordural.is with the main information about the project and the estimated financial needs. We will review applications four times a year.
